DogDomino - WoodA tricky game for the active dog.
The dog is to try and place the movable discs into the right position so that the blocks are uncovered and the dog can pull out one block after the other and thereby finding the hidden treats under the blocks.
The idea…
With Dog Domino is that you and your dog will have a nice and enjoyable time together. The dog is to learn to look for treats by trying to push the discs into the correct position so that the blocks will be uncovered and can be pulled out and thereby finding the treats that have been hidden under the blocks.
Teach the dog to understand words like: wait, go ahead, back off, find it, sit etc while you are playing. Enrich your relationship with your dog. You show. The dog/cat looks, listens and learns. Praise it when it does things right. Together you will have fun!
Use…
The first time you use only one block. Let the dog be present to see when you hide the treat. Start by putting treats under all discs and in the block. Place the block in one of the side pockets. Let the block be uncovered so the discs will not stop the block and the dog can remove it and find the treat. When you see that the dog understands how the game works, you can hide treats under all the discs and all the blocks, placing the discs so that the blocks cannot be pulled out. Then let the dog start to find all the hidden sweets. If the dog tries to bite the game or its parts, put your hand over it and stop the game. When the dog has calmed down you can say “go ahead” and let the dog try again. If the dog repeatedly wants to bite, teach it to work only with its paw. If, on the other hand, the dog wants to throw itself on the game and beat excessively with its paw, then teach it to work with its nose by putting the game on a stool/chair which is adapted to the size of the dog. This is also useful if the dog has an injured paw or is newly operated.
Important…
Do not let the dog/cat chew or bite the toy. Play only together with the dog/cat; do not leave the dog/cat unattended. The dog/cat must not play or chew the blocks/parts. Put the game away when you have finished playing. Only for animals, it is not a toy for children. Suitable for dogs and cats of all ages and sizes.
